Convert Organization Codes for Projects, Phases, or Tasks

Use the Projects' Organization Key Conversion utility to change the organization of projects, phases, or tasks.

You can only run the Projects' Organization Key Conversion from the most current, open accounting period.

This utility creates journal entry type transactions that transfer all of the revenue and expenses for the project, phase, or task from the old organization to the new organization. If you are changing the organization for multiple accounting periods, the utility creates and posts the journal entry type transactions by accounting period.

This utility does not adjust transaction detail, such as for timesheets or accounts payable. You should only run this utility after you have completed all transaction-based calculations (such as those for Labor Cross Charge and Intercompany Billing).

Prerequisite: Back up your Vision database.

To change a project, phase, or task's organization codes:

1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Utilities > Key Conversions > Projects' Organization.
2. Complete the fields on the Key Convert Projects' Organization Codes form.
3. Select one of the following actions:

   Option	Description
   To save the conversion to run later	Click Save.
   To run the conversion now	Click Run.
   To schedule the conversion to run on a regular basis via the process server	Click Schedule and complete the Schedule dialog box.
