Filter a Visualization Map by Color Metric

The records included initially in a visualization are based on the selections you make on the lookup that you open from the Selection column in the Reports grid. After you generate a visualization map, you can filter the records in the Visualization window to focus on a subset of records. One option is to filter by the color metric.

To filter the records included in a visualization map based on the color metric values, complete the following steps:

  1. If the size and color sliders are not displayed in the Visualization window, select Show slider and load setting controls on the General tab of the Options dialog box and regenerate the visualization map.
  2. With the color slider (the bottom slider), do one or both of the following:
    • To filter out lower color metric values, drag the left filter handle to the right to the lowest metric value that you want to include.
    • To filter out higher color metric values, drag the right filter handle to the left to the highest metric value that you want to include.
  3. Release the mouse button. Vision removes from the map any blocks for which the color metric value is now outside the range defined by the filter handles.
