Configuration and Security Considerations for Opportunity Fee Estimates

Before you can use Fee Estimates, your system administrator must enable the feature.

To enable the feature, your system administrator selects the Project Fee Estimate check box on the General Tab of Configuration > Security > Roles.

When configuring fee estimates, system administrators use the following guidelines:

• To enable fee estimates for opportunities, select Enable Fee Estimate on the Fee Estimate tab of Configuration > General > Opportunity Settings.
• To conduct work in Germany and meet the regulations that are specified by the government's Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers, select the Enable German Scale of Fees option on the Fee Estimate tab of Configuration > General > Opportunity Settings.
• To specify the cost groups and functional groups that are available for fee estimates, use the Cost Groups and Functional Groups tabs of Configuration > General > Fee Estimate Groups.
• To configure the service profiles that are available for fee estimates, use the General, Service Phases, Cost Groups, Functional Groups, and Company Access tabs of Configuration > General > Fee Estimate Service Profiles.
