Drilling Down from Graphs
If a report includes a graph, you can drill down from the graph in some cases.
If the total for group level 1 on a report offers the option to drill down, and you select that column for your graph, you can also drill down from that value in the graph. If you graph a total that does not offer drill down in the report, you cannot drill down from the graphed value.
The following are two examples:
- If you preview an Office Earnings report grouped by Project Number, and you include a graph for job-to-date labor amounts, you can click on that bar or slice in the graph to drill down to supporting detail in the Labor Detail report.
- If you preview a Project Summary report grouped by Project Number, and you include a graph for JTD Amount, you cannot drill down from the graph. In the Project Summary report, you can drill down on the labor amounts or expense amounts but not on overhead amounts. Because all three make up the total amount, you cannot drill down on the totals in the JTD Amount column or on the graphed values for that column.
