Attachments
Each Info Center includes an Attachments tab that makes it possible to upload, view, and store documents such as contracts, waivers, and images for your Info Center records.
Vision attaches documents to the Info Center record for which they were uploaded. You can upload multiple documents for each record.
- If you copy a record with attachments, to use as the basis for a new one, the documents are not copied.
- If you delete a record with attachments, the documents are also deleted from the database.
You can upload and attach documents only if Vision has been configured to allow you to attach documents and the file type is an approved file type.
File Types
The Attachments tab supports image files, Microsoft document files, word processing files, drawing files, spreadsheets, and so on. When you upload a document, a copy of the file is stored in Vision.

When you upload a document, a copy of the file is stored in the FILESTREAM database and is available to search for and view in the Files Administration Utility.
The Deltek Vision Advanced Technical Installation Guide provides a system administrator with the instructions on how to enable FILESTREAM (a Microsoft SQL Server feature), which allows you to store the uploaded documents for Vision transactions.
