Save the Baseline Version of the Plan

You can save the baseline version of a plan. You set the baseline version of the plan after you specify as much plan detail as possible, including tasks and resource assignments, or when the client signs a contract with your firm. You can have only one baseline version for the current plan at any given time.

If you receive any change orders, you may need to make significant changes to the plan and save a new version of the baseline. The ability to change a baseline is available only if the proper configuration settings are in place.

To save the baseline version of a plan, complete the following steps:

1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click Planning > Project Planning.
2. Click Save Baseline on the Project Planning toolbar.

   Vision displays the following message:

   Do you want to replace the existing baseline? This action will replace the previously saved baseline with the current "planned" information. Only one baseline can be kept at any given moment.

3. Click Yes.
