Client or Vendor Aliases

You can enter aliases for a client or a vendor. For example, you can specify abbreviated versions of the client's or vendor's legal name, acronyms for the name, or alternate spellings of the name.

You can use aliases when you search for client or vendor records. This makes it easier for you to find records when a client company or vendor company is known by more than one name. For example, Brownstone Technology Systems may also be known as Brownstone Tech or BTS.

After you enter one or more aliases for a client, an asterisk (*) displays to the right of the client name at the top of the Client Info Center form or the Vendor Info Center form. Place your cursor over Ellipses in the Name field to see a list of the aliases.
