Formatting Text for Proposals

You can use the Text Editor to manipulate text that is used in Vision Proposals.

Some special formatting and layout considerations apply when you merge data to Microsoft Word for use with Vision Proposals.

  • Font Type and Size — When you merge a Vision proposal, the Text Editor's font type and size do not apply to the data when it is merged. The font type and size for a proposal are determined by the merge code on the merge template.
  • Bulleted Lists — Special instructions apply when you create bulleted lists in text that will be part of a proposal. When you merge a Vision proposal, the text merges in the same format as was entered in the Text Editor dialog box. However, the bullet size and style are determined by the merge template's merge code.
  • Copy and Paste — You need to eliminate embedded formatting before you copy and paste text to the Text Editor dialog box.

    If you copy text from Microsoft Word to the Text Editor dialog box, you can also use the icon on the toolbar to paste the copied text as plain text. After you copy the Word text to the Vision Text Editor dialog box, click .
