Validated Text Subtask

Use this subtask to set up valid values for each of the text labels that you create on the main screen.

You must set up the labels or validated text for user-defined fields here before they become available on the Manage Employee User-Defined Information screen. Although you can set up labels or validated text at any time, set them up before you enter any employees.

For each row on the main screen that has the Validated Text check box selected, you must set up at least one valid value. If you do not, you cannot enter anything into that row on the Manage Employee User-Defined Information screen.

Click and enter a valid value for the validated text label. You can have as many different values as you need for each validated text label. However, you must enter and save at least one valid text value in this column if you selected the check box in the Validated Text column for the selected row on the main screen. If you do not enter and save at least one value, the Validated Text check box is cleared.

Warning:

If you delete a text row, Costpoint deletes all of the related rows in the employee tables.
