Hourly/Salary |
This field displays the classification of the employee. Valid values are: H: The employee is paid on an hourly basis. The employee's labor cost always reflects the number of hours worked times the hourly rate of pay. Hourly employees can charge overtime pay types and the labor cost reflects this. S: The employee is paid the same each pay period, regardless of the number of hours worked. Employees in this category cannot charge overtime pay types unless the Allow Overtime for Salaried Employees check box on the Overtime Settings subtask of the Configure Labor Settings screen is selected and the pay type being charged has the OK for Salaried Employees check box selected on the Manage Pay Types screen. F: The employee is paid a salary, but the number of hours worked in a week fluctuates; the salary amount is affected by the number of hours worked. If the employee is not exempt from FLSA, overtime is paid for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week, at one and one-half times the basic rate. |
FLSA Exempt |
This field displays a Y (Yes) if the employee is exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), or a N (No) if the employee is non-exempt and can be entitled to overtime payments. Hourly and Salary Fluctuating Hours employees are usually non-exempt. |
