Contents of the Manage Reference Elements Screen
Use the fields and options to configure the Manage Reference Elements screen.
Reference No
Field | Description |

Reference No |
Enter the reference number that you want to set up, including the period delimiters. |
Name |
Enter a name for the reference number. Costpoint displays this name on screens and reports. |
Level No |
Costpoint displays the level of the reference number automatically, based on the entry in Reference No and on the reference structure set up on the Manage Reference Structures screen. |

Use in Data Entry |
Select this check box if you will use the reference number in data entry. If you do not select this check box, the reference number is used as an alternate reporting structure. |
Subtask
Subtask | Description |
---|---|
Link to Acct/Orgs | If you intend to use the reference number as an alternate reporting structure and not for data entry, click this link to open the Link to Acct/Orgs subtask. On the subtask, you link the reference number to account/organization combinations. |
