Manage MyDesktop

Use this screen to view your pending tasks related to timesheets, expense reports, and expense authorizations. You can launch the necessary applications to carry out these tasks directly from this screen.

Use the Tasks and Task Details tables to review and carry out such pending tasks as completing timesheets and submitting expense reports.

Location

To display the Manage MyDesktop screen, complete the following steps:

  1. Click Time & Expense > Configuration > Resources > Manage My Desktop.

Tasks

The Task table lists all open and pending tasks that the user needs to perform. Select a task in order to view details related to that task in the Task Details table below.

Field Description
Task Object This field displays the type of record requiring action, for example: Timesheet or Expense Authorization.
Task Type This field displays the specific action required, for example, Approve for timesheets and expense authorizations, and Submit for expense reports.
Task Count This field displays the number of tasks currently pending for the category.

Task Details Table

The information that displays in this table derives from the task selected in the Task table above. Field details include such parameters as names, ID codes, dates, pay periods, expense IDs, and expense types.

Field Description
Launch Select the task you wish to complete and click Launch to display the application necessary to complete the task, for example: Approve Timesheet, Approve Expense Report, Approve Expense Authorization, and Resource Work Schedules.

Outstanding Expenses Subtask

Click this subtask link to display a list of your outstanding expenses. As you claim the expenses displayed in the Manage Expense Report screen, they are deleted here. If any of these expenses are personal expenses and therefore not company-paid, you can delete them here. [Note: No Delete button?]

Field Description
Hide Select the Hide check box to remove from the list of outstanding expenses any personal expense that is not paid by the company. Clear the check box for any outstanding expense that is company-paid.
Hidden Expenses Click this link to display a list of personal expenses you previously chose to hide. Clear the check box for company-paid expenses you want to display in the list of outstanding expenses.

Outstanding Advances Subtask

Click this subtask link to display a list of your outstanding advances. As you claim the advances displayed in the Manage Expense Report screen, they are deleted here.
