Pay Currency to Functional Currency Exchange Rate Info

Field Description
Rate Date

This field displays the date that is used to calculate the exchange rate for this invoice. Enter, or click to select, a date.

If your currency exchange rates are tracked by date, the exchange rate used for this pay to functional is the date or range of dates in which this invoice date falls. Costpoint first looks to exchange rates by date, then to exchange rates by period.

If you track your currency exchange rates by period, the transaction rate used for this pay to functional exchange are the period rates (period end rates for the last day of the period, and period average rates for all other dates) in which this rate date falls.

Rate

This field mimics the Pay to Func rate when you use non-Euro currencies. When you use a Euro currency, this field is the product of the Pay to Euro and Euro to Func fields.

Freeze Rate

Select this check box to hold the last rate saved in these fields. You can enter other rates into Costpoint, but they are not applied to this invoice (for gain or loss calculation) unless this check box is cleared.

Pay to Func

This field displays the rate for the pay-to-functional currency.

Find Rates

Click this button to refresh the fields in this group box and retrieve updated exchange rate information using data in the Pay Currency, Rate Group, and Rate Date fields.

If you add or modify data in this subtask, you must click this button to display new, recalculated exchange rate information.

N/A

This non-editable field displays 1.0000000 if you calculate the exchange rate for a non-Euro currency.

Apply

Click this button to update information on the Manage Cash Receipts screen and its applicable subtasks with new exchange rate information.

Note: The update to information will only happen if you click the Apply button and not when you close or select another screen outside the Exchange Rates subtask.
