Source/Target Definition Tab

Use this tab to enter source and target information for the selected interface instance ID.

Source Definition

Use this group box to define the file (if the source type is FILE) or database (if the source type is DB) source settings for the selected interface instance ID.

File

If the source type is FILE, the options in this group box are enabled. Use this group box to specify settings for your source file.

Field	Description
Use FTP Site	Select this check box to specify an FTP site where your source file is located. When you select this check box, the User, Password, and Verification fields in the Login group box are active.
FTP Site Name	Enter the appropriate FTP information for your source file in addition to the data in the Directory and File Name fields.
Directory	Enter the directory where your source file is located.
File Prefix	Enter the source prefix directory.

Database

If the source type is DB, the options in this group box are enabled. Use this group box to specify settings for your source database.

Field	Description
Platform	From the drop-down list, select the platform of your source database. Valid options are: Oracle MSSqlServer SQLBase
Connectivity	Enter the connectivity information for your source database. For example, the server and database name for your MS SQL database in the 'server\\database' format; or the TNSNAME of your Oracle database.

Login

Use this group box to specify login information for your source FTP site or database.

Note: The passwords that you set in this group box can only contain alphanumeric characters and the following special characters: !, #, &, ', (, ), *, +, ,, -, ., /, :, ;, and @.

Field	Description
User	Enter the user ID required to connect to your FTP site or database.
Password	Enter the password required to connect to your FTP site or database.
Verification	Re-enter the Password in this field for verification purposes.

Target Definition

Use this group box to define the file (if the source type is FILE) or database (if the source type is DB) target settings for the selected interface instance ID.

File

If the target type is FILE, the options in this group box are enabled. Use this group box to specify settings for your target file.

Field	Description
Use FTP Site	Select this check box to specify an FTP site where your target file is located. When you select this check box, the User, Password, and Verification fields in the Login group box are active.
FTP Site Name	Enter the appropriate FTP information for your target file in addition to the data in the Directory and File Name fields.
Directory	Enter the directory where your target file is located.
File Prefix	Use this field to enter your prefix directory.

Database

If the target type is DB, the options in this group box are enabled. Use this group box to specify settings for your target database.

Field	Description
