FIDO Security Keys (2FA)

Use this subtask to register your security key(s).

This subtask is available only if the FIDO Security Key two-factor authentication (2FA) method has been enabled for you by your system administrator.

Field Description
Key ID Enter the key ID for your security key.
Key Desc Enter a description for the key ID.
Key Created This field displays the date and time the security key is registered.
Add Key

After you specify the key ID and description, click this button to register the security key.

When you click this button, Costpoint displays a dialog box where you can either click Save or Cancel. Click Save to proceed with the security key registration. After you click Save, Costpoint displays a message asking you to insert your security key.

When the registration is complete, your FIDO security key will be required the next time you try to log in to Costpoint. A password may still be required in addition to the security key, depending on whether or not the Passwordless option is selected for you.

Note: If your user profile is configured to use this authentication method but your device does not have a USB port or a Google Chrome browser, or uses a standard http (not https), you cannot proceed with the registration process. You can still log in to Costpoint using either the Mobile Application or Email 2FA method, depending on what has been set up by your system administrator.
