Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

User-Defined Field 3 Values Subtask

Use the User-Defined Field 3 Values subtask to add or delete user-defined values. You can set one user-defined value per code as the user-defined field 3 default.

Table Fields

Field Description
Code

Enter a 10 digit, uppercase, alphanumeric, user-defined value code. Each code must be unique.

Description

Enter up to 30 characters for the user-defined value description. The description must be unique and properly capitalized because it is used in drop-downs, lookups, and as column headings for reports and inquiries.

Default Select this check box if you to want to set one code as the default for the user-defined field 3 value.
