Field Description
ESS Version

This field displays the version of ESS to which you have access.

Default ESS User Group

Enter, or click to select, the default user group for ESS access.

Warning: If you provide a default ESS user group, ESS user access will be granted or removed automatically when saving records on the Manage Employee Information screen. This default user group will be automatically linked to the user account record of the employee if the ESS User check box is selected in the User Data tab of Manage Employee Information screen. Otherwise, if ESS User check box is not selected, then this default user group will be automatically removed from the user account record of the employee.

Employee Directory Settings

Column 1 — Column 6

From these drop-down lists, select the six fields to display in the ESS 3.1 Employee Directory screen. Valid options are:

  • Employee Name
  • Title
  • Org Name
  • Org ID
  • Work Phone
  • Work Email
  • Labor Location
  • GLC
  • Employee Class
  • Full/Part Time
  • GLC Description
  • Manager Name

Only the first two drop-down lists require selection. These drop-down lists are enabled only if you are using ESS 3.1.

Note: You must select the Employee Name option to save the ESS Global Settings record.
