Potential Work Force Employees Subtask

Use this subtask to associate the contract with employees that may be added to the employee work force and may be included on a project associated with the contract.

You can select the role that applies to an employee, and you can assign the same role to multiple employees.

You can manually add employees to the table window. You can also use the Load Opp Work Force Employees button to have Costpoint automatically populate the table window with potential work force employees associated with the main opportunity linked to the contract.

Click New to add a new line.

Field Description
Load Opp Work Force Employees Click this button to automatically populate the table window with potential work force employees associated with the opportunity linked to the contract. Employees that display are those that exist on the Potential Work Force Employees subtask on the Team tab of the Manage Opportunities screen.
Employee

Enter, or click to select, a valid employee that may be included in a project associated with the contract. By default, only employees with a status of Active are displayed in the lookup, but you can manually enter employees with a status other than Active. You can also use the Status query condition option on the Query tab of the Query dialog box of this field to search for employees with other statuses.

After you save the record, the employee ID displays as a hyperlink that you can click to open the Manage Contract Management Employee Info screen and view additional information about the employee.

Name This field displays the name of the employee you selected.
Title This field displays the title of the employee you selected.
Role Description Enter, or click to select, the role that you want to assign to the employee. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Contract Management Roles screen and for which the Employee check box is selected.
Include in Work Force Select this check box to include the employee in the work force of a project associated with the contract.
ITAR If selected, this check box indicates that the employee is authorized to do International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) transactions.
US Citizen If selected, this check box indicates that the employee is a citizen of the United States.
GLC This field displays the general labor category (GLC) for the employee.
PLC Enter, or click to select, a project labor category (PLC) to assign to the employee.
Default PLC

This check box is required only when you specify a PLC for the employee. If you entered multiple rows for the employee and the employee is associated with different PLCs, select the check box corresponding to the PLC that you want to use as a default for the employee when he/she works on a project associated with the contract.
