Navigating the User Interface
The user interface is organized into program areas or domains. Domains represent the top level of the Costpoint hierarchy. The Navigation menu displays these domains on the left side of the Welcome screen. These domains are further categorized in a series of three panes. Starting from the left, you can navigate from the highest-level domain down to the desired application.
You can click the application breadcrumb trail on the Navigation Toolbar or click the
Collapse/Hide icon next to the Global Menu to access the Navigation menu.
To navigate the Costpoint user interface:
- Select a Costpoint domain or product: This column displays Costpoint domains and other purchased products. In this example, the Accounting domain is selected. Click a domain to display its modules on the next pane.
- Select a module: Each domain is subdivided into modules. This pane displays the modules that belong to the selected domain. In this example, all modules that belong to the Accounting domain display. Click a module to display its application groups.
- Select an application group: This pane displays application groups for the selected module. In this example, the pane displays application groups for the Accounts Payable module. Click an application group to display its applications on the right-hand pane. Note that not all modules contain application groups.
- Select an application: This pane displays applications for the selected application group, in this case the Payment Processing group. Click an application to open it in a separate screen, such as the Select Vouchers for Payment application shown above.
Note: You only see the domains, modules, and applications to which you have access rights. If you have questions concerning access/permissions, please contact your administrator.
