Manage Subcontract Closeout Formats

Use this screen to define formats that you can use to track the tasks and other activities needed in the subcontract closeout process. Each format can be customized to include a checklist of tasks, questions, and other information required in the closeout based on the contract type.

One Costpoint-defined format (SUB_CO_0001) displays when you first open this screen, but you can enter additional closeout formats.

You have to assign at least one closeout code/description to the closeout format before you can save the format record, but you can assign as many as 10 closeout codes/descriptions.

Any closeout format with the Show in Lookup checkbox selected on this screen will be available for selection on the Subcontract Closeout tab of the Manage Subcontracts screen. When you select the closeout format on that tab, the closeout descriptions assigned to the format will display in the Closeout Checklist group box on that tab. You can then perform the following actions on the tab:

  • Mark the closeout task/description as Complete or not (options are Yes, No, and N/A).
  • Assign the closeout task/description to an employee.
  • Indicate the date that the closeout task/description has been completed.

You cannot delete the system-defined SUB_CO_0001 closeout format. You can delete user-entered formats only if they have not been used in any subcontract records. Similarly, you can modify system- and user-defined closeout format descriptions only if the format is not yet assigned to a subcontract record.
