Purchase Orders Tab
Use this tab to view the purchase orders (POs) associated with the subcontract and to initiate POs from this screen.
You can launch the Manage Purchase Orders screen by clicking the Initiate Purchase Orders button on this tab. Once you have entered PO information, you can link the PO record with a subcontract record by entering a Subcontract ID or a Ref. Subcontract ID value on the Subcontract Information tab of Manage Purchase Orders. You must have access to the Materials domain, the Purchasing module, and the Manage Purchase Orders application before you can open Manage Purchase Orders.
You can also add new records to this tab and link POs to the subcontract record using the New button. A subcontract can be associated with multiple POs, but a purchase order can be linked to only one subcontract.
Use the Delete button to remove or unlink the PO from the subcontract. You can delete records on this tab under one of the following conditions:
- If the Reference PO checkbox for the PO record is selected
- If the Reference PO checkbox for the PO record is not selected but the PO does not have any activity

PO ID |
For POs associated with the subcontract through the Manage Purchase Orders screen, this field displays the PO ID as a hyperlink that you can click to open the Manage Purchase Orders screen and view additional information about the PO. For new records, enter, or click to select, the purchase order that you would like to link to the subcontract. Values available in the lookup are only those that have not yet been associated with the subcontract record (or any other subcontract). |

This field displays the type of the purchase order. Possible values are:
|

Status | This field displays the status of the purchase order. |
Procurement Type | This field displays the procurement type of the purchase order. |
PO Total | This field displays the total amount for the purchase order. |
PO Balance Remaining |
This field displays the remaining PO balance amount. This is the total PO amount less the sum of the posted and unposted voucher lines: PO_HDR.TRN_PO_TOT_AMT - (SUM(VCHR_LN.TOT_BEF_DISC_AMT) + SUM(VCHR_LN_HS.TOT_BEF_DISC_AMT)). Note: You may encounter balance issues with this formula if you add charges to voucher lines that are not on the PO. If you need to add charges (for example, line charges and taxes), Deltek recommends that you add these on either a separate voucher line that is not linked to a specific PO line, or create PO line items that specifically capture the additional costs.

Reference PO |
This check box is selected if the PO is linked to the subcontract via the Ref. Subcontract ID field on the Subcontract Information tab of Manage Purchase Orders. This flag indicates that the PO is for reference only and is not synched with the purchase order. It will typically be used by clients implementing Manage Subcontracts who want to link the PO to the subcontract record to provide visibility of the PO. This check box is cleared if the PO is linked to the subcontract via the Subcontract ID field in Manage Purchase Orders. |
Total | These fields display the sum of all the PO Total values and PO Balance Remaining values for the purchase orders associated with the subcontract. |
