Assessments Tab

Use this tab to rate opportunities and assess if you are going after the right opportunities.

You can manually create multiple assessment records for a single opportunity. For opportunities imported from GovWin IQ, associated assessment records from GovWin IQ display on this tab.

For manually entered assessment records, when you select an assessment format, Costpoint automatically displays on the Opportunity Assessment Details subtask the rating descriptions assigned to the assessment format. On the subtask, you can rate the opportunity on each rating description on a scale of 1 to 10, and Costpoint calculates the total score and percent (out of the highest possible score) for the opportunity. This information can help you determine if the opportunity is worth pursuing.

Note: Some fields are hidden in Form view and are disabled in Table view, depending on the type of record you are accessing (GovWin IQ or manual records).

Assessment Format ID

For manual records, enter, or click to select, the assessment format ID that you want to assign to this assessment. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Opportunity Assessment Formats screen. Format IDs that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage Opportunity Assessment Formats. Only format IDs that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

If a default format ID is selected in Manage Opportunity Assessment Formats, that format ID automatically displays in this field, but you can modify it. Note, however, that once you publish the assessment (Status is set to Published and record is saved), you will no longer be able to edit or replace the assessment format ID for the assessment record.

Once you select an assessment format ID, Costpoint populates the Opportunity Assessment Details subtask with the rating descriptions assigned to the assessment format.

If you have already saved the assessment record and the status is still Unpublished, you can still change the format ID but all scores and comments on the Opportunity Assessment Details subtask will be cleared and the rating descriptions will be updated. Costpoint displays a warning message, where you can click OK to proceed with your action or you can click Cancel.

For GovWin IQ records, this field is blank.

For new manual records, this defaults to Unpublished. You can change it to Published at any time to prevent edits to the assessment record. You can also revert it to Unpublished to allow for additional changes.

For GovWin IQ records, this defaults to Published and cannot be changed.

For GovWin IQ records, this field is blank.
