Additional Deductions For Contribution Calculation Subtask

Use this subtask to enter additional deductions that will be the basis of the contribution calculation.

The purpose of this subtask is to be able to calculate contributions based on multiple deductions for a deferred compensation. For example, you want the 401(k) and Safe Harbor 401(k) deduction codes combined to determine the 401(k) contribution amount. To set this up, select the Base on Additional Deductions check box and add a second deduction (Safe Harbor 401(k)) in the Additional Deductions for Contribution Calculation table.

When you run the Compute Payroll process, Costpoint will use the base of the deduction that goes with the contribution for all deductions entered in this subtask.

To use this table, you need to select the following on the Details tab of the Manage Deductions screen:

  • Contribution check box
  • PCTDED in the Computation Method field
  • Base on Additional Deductions check box
