The Costpoint user interface is designed to optimize navigation. Flyout menus that frame the Costpoint screen provide quick access to program areas and application functions. The following images display the key features of the user interface. - Navigating the User Interface
The user interface is organized into program areas or domains. Domains represent the top level of the Costpoint hierarchy. The Navigation menu displays these domains on the left side of the Welcome screen. These domains are further categorized by modules and application groups. When you click on a domain, the menu expands to reveal its modules. Selecting a module will display its application groups, and choosing an application group will present a list of available applications. - Applications
Applications reside in the deepest level of the hierarchy, and they are represented as separate screens. - Context Menu
Costpoint includes a Context Menu on the right side of the screen that provides quick access to commonly used commands and options. - Action Bar
The Action Bar is a small toolbar at the top of the screen that provides quick access to key actions relevant to the task or transaction you are performing. - Application Toolbar
The application toolbar contains commands and options that are applicable to the transaction you are currently performing. The commands include New, Delete, Query, and many more.
