Status Tab

Use this tab to specify opportunity status details, key dates, value of the opportunity, probability of winning the opportunity, and organizational conflict of interest (OCI) status.

Opportunity Status

Use this group box to indicate general information about the status of the opportunity.

Field Description
Stage

Enter, or click to select, the opportunity stage. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Opportunity Stages screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage Opportunity Stages. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the opportunity stage code.

Date Changed This field displays the date on which the stage code for the opportunity was changed, but you can modify it. Enter, or click to select, the date the opportunity was changed.
Type

Enter, or click to select, the opportunity type. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Opportunity Types screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage Opportunity Types. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the opportunity type code.

Source

Enter, or click to select, the source code that defines where the opportunity was obtained. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Opportunity Sources screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage Opportunity Sources. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the opportunity source code.

NAICS (primary)

Enter, or click to select, the primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code that you want to assign to the opportunity. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage NAICS Codes screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage NAICS Codes. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The first unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the NAICS code.

The second unlabeled field to the right displays the effective date of the NAICS code.

NAICS (supporting)

Enter, or click to select, the supporting NAICS code that you want to assign to the opportunity. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage NAICS Codes screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage NAICS Codes. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the NAICS code.

The second unlabeled field to the right displays the effective date of the NAICS code.

CMMC Requirements

Enter any information on Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements related to the opportunity. If the opportunity comes from GovWin IQ, this field displays CMMC information from GovWin IQ, but you can edit it.

CMMC aims to measure the maturity or level of the organization's cybersecurity processes in complying with the protection of controlled unclassified information (CUI) within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) networks. There are various levels of CMMC certifications. Controls and processes associated with each level are aimed to reduce the risk against a specific set of cyber threats.

Estimated Start Date (contract) Enter, or click to select, the estimated start date of the contract linked to the opportunity.
Estimated Completion Date Enter, or click to select, the estimated completion date of the contract linked to the opportunity.
Contract Period of Performance Months This field displays the number of months that you expect to work on the contract associated with the opportunity. Costpoint automatically calculates this field using the Estimated Start Date (contract) and Estimated Completion Date, but you can modify it.
Notes Enter notes about the opportunity's status or any relevant information pertaining to the opportunity.

Value and Key Dates

Use this group box to specify the projected value of the opportunity and the probability of winning the opportunity.

Two columns may display in this group box: Functional Currency and Transactional Currency. In Form view, the Transactional Currency column and its corresponding fields display only for Canadian bid records from GovWin IQ (that is, Transaction Currency Code is CAD). In Table view, these fields are visible but disabled if the transaction currency code is not CAD.

The following notice also displays in this group box for Canadian bid records from GovWin IQ:

"Currency Notice: Currency conversion done at time of publication."

Field Description
Total Value

Enter the total opportunity value. This represents the total value of the opportunity. The value you will enter should be the entire estimated revenue amount you expect to earn if the opportunity results in an awarded contract. The revenue value for the company may be a subset of this Total Value if several partners (prime contractors and subcontractors) are awarded the contract.

Transactional Total Value

This field is visible only for Canadian bid records imported from GovWin IQ. It displays the total opportunity value in CAD, as transferred from GovWin IQ. You can modify this field.

Transaction Currency Code This field is visible only for Canadian bid records imported from GovWin IQ. It defaults to CAD and cannot be edited.
Our Value

Enter the amount of the total contract value that you expect your company to earn if you are awarded the contract associated with the opportunity.

Transactional Our Value This field is visible only for Canadian bid records imported from GovWin IQ. Enter the amount of the total contract value (in CAD) that you expect your company to earn if you are awarded the contract associated with the opportunity.
Win Probability

Enter, or click to select, the code that represents the percentage of bidding on or winning the opportunity. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Opportunity Win/Bid Probabilities screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage Opportunity Win/Bid Probabilities. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled fields to the right display the probability percentage and probability description.

Weighted Revenue Costpoint calculates this field using the information you entered in the Our Value and Win Probability fields. Costpoint determines the value as follows: Our Value x Win Probability.
Transactional Weighted Revenue This field is visible only for Canadian bid records imported from GovWin IQ. Costpoint calculates this field using the information you entered in the Transactional Our Value and Win Probability fields. Costpoint determines the value as follows: Transactional Our Value x Win Probability.
Date Opened Enter, or click to select, the date on which you identified the opportunity and began pursuing the job.
Date Closed Enter, or click to select, the date on which you closed the opportunity.
Number of Days Open

This field displays the number of days the opportunity has been open. You can use this field to determine if the opportunity needs to be reassessed or prioritized.

Costpoint automatically calculates this field as follows:
  • If the Stage assigned to the opportunity has a win or loss value (that is, Win / Loss on the Manage Opportunity Stages screen is set to either Win or Loss for the stage code), number of days open is calculated as Modified Date - Date Opened.
  • If the opportunity's record status is Inactive, number of days open is calculated as Modified Date - Date Opened.
  • For any other scenarios, this field is calculated as System Date Today - Date Opened.
Closed Reason

Enter, or click to select, the reason for closing the opportunity. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage Opportunity Closed Reasons screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage Opportunity Closed Reasons. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

OCI Status

Use this group box to specify the OCI status for the opportunity. OCI records associated with the opportunity are displayed on the Organizational Conflict of Interest (OCI) Records subtask of this screen.

Field Description
OCI Check Complete Select this check box if the organizational conflict of interest review has been completed for the opportunity.
OCI Status

Enter, or click to select, status of the OCI linked to the opportunity. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage OCI Status screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage OCI Status. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled field to the right displays the description of the OCI status.

Date Enter, or click to select, the date on which OCI review was completed.
Completed By

Enter, or click to select, the reviewer who checked OCIs against the opportunity. Valid values are only those that exist on the Manage OCI Reviewer screen. Codes that display in the lookup have the Show in Lookup check box selected in Manage OCI Reviewer. Only codes that are available in the lookup can be used for new records in Manage Opportunities.

The unlabeled field to the right displays the OCI reviewer name.

Conflict with Enter relevant notes pertaining to organizational conflict of interest associated with the opportunity.
