Contents of the Notification Text Screen

Use the fields and options to configure the Notification Text screen.

Field Description
Source
From the drop-down list, select the report for which the email will be generated. Options include:
  • Expense: Workflow Events: Choose this option to configure messages related to Expense. Select a specific event from the Reason drop-down.
  • Timesheet: Break Check: If you choose this option, Failed displays in the Reason field.
  • Timesheet: Daily Floor Check: If you choose this option, Failed displays in the Reason field.
  • Timesheet: Line Level Approval Choose this option to configure messages related to line level approvals. Select the specific event from the Reason drop-down.
  • Timesheet: Reminders Choose this option to configure messages related to timesheet reminders. Select a specific event from the Reason drop-down.
  • Timesheet: Status Choose this option to configure messages related to timesheet statuses. Select a specific event from the Reason drop-down.
  • Timesheet: Workflow Events Choose this option to configure messages related to Time. Select a specific event from the Reason drop-down.
Reason

This field displays the reason for the notification, such as failing a daily floor check, or it displays additional choices related to the option selected from Source.

For each Source option, the table below describes the additional options that display under Reason.

Section
From the drop-down list, select the part of the message you want to work with. Choose from the following:
  • Subject: Select this to display default text or to enter custom text for the subject line of the message.
  • Body: Select this to display default text or to enter custom for the body of the message.
  • Detail: This option displays depending on whether the selected source option includes details regarding the person who performed the action, such as a supervisor if a timesheet was approved. For this option, the name of the resource populates automatically in the message at the time it is sent.
  • Interactive Email Footer: This option displays for sources that are enabled for sending interactive emails, such as Daily Floor Check. Select this option to create custom text that will display in the footer area of the interactive email.
Role
From the drop-down list, select the role that will receive the message.
Note: Emails sent to supervisors, such as those related to missing timesheets or timesheets not yet signed, will include the names of the resources who have been flagged for compliance-related reasons.

Text

Field Description
Default

This area is non-editable and shows the default text that will display in either the subject line or body, depending on what is presently selected.

Note: If Section is set to Interactive Email Footer, this section is blank and grayed out by default.
Custom

Depending on what is presently selected from Section (for example, Subject or Body), enter any custom text that should display in either the subject or body section of the message. When this field contains content, it is sent instead of the default text.
