Timesheet Defaults And Product Interface Tab

Use this tab to enter the default project, accounts, organizations, references, pay types, GLC, labor location, and/or worker's compensation for the employee's timesheet entry lines.

If you use Shop Floor Time and/or Manufacturing Execution, you can use this tab to select Shop Floor Time and/or Manufacturing Execution options that apply to the employee.

Field Description
Project

Enter, or click to select, the default project to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Account

Enter, or click to select, the default account to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Organization

Enter, or click to select, the default organization to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Pay Type

Enter, or click to select, the default pay type to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

GLC

Enter, or click to select, the default GLC to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Labor Location

Enter, or click to select, the default Labor Location to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines. If the Enable Union Functionality checkbox is selected on the Configure Labor Settings screen, this field is labeled as Local.

Workers' Compensation

Enter, or click to select, the default Workers’ Compensation Code to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Reference 1

Enter, or click to select, the default Reference 1 to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Reference 2

Enter, or click to select, the default Reference 2 to be used for this employee for normal timesheet entry lines.

Shop Floor Time and Manufacturing Execution

Note: You can view the Shop Floor Time and/or Manufacturing Execution fields only if your company has a Shop Floor Time and/or Manufacturing Execution license.
Field Description
Plant

Enter, or click to select, a Plant ID in which the employee will be working. This ID will not be stored in Manufacturing Execution. Costpoint uses this field to determine what data is send to a specific instance of Manufacturing Execution. It is also used for routing of data to Shop Floor Time and as a means of employee grouping.

Plant IDs are established in the Materials domain (Materials/Inventory/Inventory Controls/Inventory Codes). The Plant ID that is flagged as the Default Plant for the Company defaults in this field when you select the Applies to Manufacturing Execution checkbox and/or the Applies to Shop Floor Time checkbox.

Applies to Shop Floor Time

Select this checkbox to indicate if the employee will be entering time into the Deltek Shop Floor Time product. If this checkbox is selected, the employee will be exported to Shop Floor Time when the Export Project Manufacturing Data screen process runs.

Entry Type

Use these options to indicate how the employee will use Shop Floor Time. These options are active if the Applies to Shop Floor Time checkbox is selected. The default value is Punched. The options are: Punched, Exception, Elapsed and Administrative.

Badge Group

In order for an employee to access Shop Floor Time using a badge, they need a Badge ID in the applicable products. Because one employer may have duplicate Badge IDs (as a result of merging companies), a Badge Group is required in order to group the badge IDs.

Use this field to specify the Badge Group that will be used in Deltek Shop Floor Time. If you use the Export Project Manufacturing Data Export screen, the employee’s Badge Group will be included in the exported data.

This field is enabled if the Applies to Shop Floor Time checkbox is checked.

Note:

For SilkRoad users, if a Badge Group is specified, the Badge ID will be automatically set to the employee’s ID.

Applies to Manufacturing Execution

Select this checkbox to indicate if the employee will be using the Deltek Manufacturing Execution product. If this checkbox is checked, the employee will be exported to Deltek Manufacturing Execution when the Export Project Manufacturing Data screen process runs.

Manufacturing Order Clocking

Manufacturing Execution has Clock Users and Timesheet Users. This checkbox is used to indicate that the employee will be a Clock User. When the employee data is exported to Manufacturing Execution, this flag will be included.
