Define Basic Company Settings

Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can define the settings that a company uses to handle financial transactions in Resources. These settings include the holiday calendar and calculation method used, the WIP adjustment values, the client settings, and the time-entry rules. You can also modify these settings in the company card in Settings > Company Settings > Basic Company Settings.

Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.

To define basic company settings:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Resources .
  2. On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the company whose settings you want to modify by completing any of the following actions:
    • In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the company, then select it from the grid.
    • Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select Company as your filter, and select the company from the grid.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information / to display the company card.
  5. On the side toolbar of the company card, click Company Settings > Basic Settings.
  6. Update the basic company settings as needed.
