Use the Price submodule to add sales tax on price quote lines of selected jobs.
To use the Price submodule, you must have access to
Jobs as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under
Settings.
To add sales tax on a price quote line:

On the main toolbar, click
Jobs
.

On the side toolbar, click
Jobs List and highlight the job with the price quote that you want to add a sales tax on.

On the side toolbar, click
Price.

On the grid toolbar, use the drop-down list to select the price quote that you want to add a sales tax on.
Alternatively, click
Open price quote list
and in the Price Quote List dialog box, highlight the price quote that you want to add a sales tax on.
Note: You can only add a sales tax on a price quote that has not yet been approved or locked for changes.

If not yet enabled, click the Header tab and select the
Enable tax on line level check box.
Note: Make sure that you have enabled Company Variable 72 to handle VAT or tax on line levels first. You can do that in
under Settings.

In the confirmation dialog box, click
Yes.

Click the Lines tab.

Highlight the price quote line that you want to a sales tax on.

Double click on the corresponding
VAT rate or
Tax rate field and enter the sales tax rate that you want to add.
WorkBook automatically computes for the VAT or tax amount.
