System Variable 638: Time Entry is Required to be Linked to a Task, Options

Use this System Variable to determine if a task should be mandatory when creating time entries.

You can select one of the following options for this setting:

• 0 - No limitations, allow time registration on jobs without a task.
• 1 - If job contains an active schedule and it contains a task with status "To-do", time registration must be made on a task.
• 2 - An active task is required. Only time registration on jobs with active tasks is allowed.

The default value for this System Variable is 0 - No limitations, allow time registration on jobs without a task.
