Submit an Absence Request for an Employee

Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can submit absence requests for other employees in Resources.

Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.

To submit an absence request for an employee:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Resources .
  2. On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.
  3. Select the employee for whom you want to submit an absence request by completing any of the following actions:
    • In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the employee, then select it from the grid.
    • Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select Employees as your filter, and select the employee from the grid.
  4. On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information / to display the employee card.
  5. On the side toolbar of the employee card, click Absence Overview .
  6. On the top toolbar of the employee card, click the Absence Request tab.
  7. On the top toolbar of the Absence Request tab, click Add Absence Entry .
  8. Use the fields and options in the Add Absence Entry dialog box to submit an absence request.
