Grant Basic Users Access to Scrum Board

If you are an Admin, you can grant Basic Users access to Scrum Board so they can manage the tasks (such as assign tasks to themselves) in the Backlog column.

To use the Tasks submodule, you must have access to Jobs as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To grant Basic Users access to Scrum Board:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Jobs .
  2. On the side toolbar of the Jobs screen, click Jobs List and highlight the job associated with the scrum sprint that you want to modify.
  3. On the side toolbar of the Jobs screen, click Tasks.
  4. On the Tasks screen, click the Support Views tab.
  5. In the left pane of the Support Views screen, click Scrum Board.
    Workbook displays the information in the grid.
  6. On the upper left side of the screen, click Personal Preferences (blue box with your WorkBook initials/profile thumbnail), and select My Settings.
  7. On the My Settings / Language & Formatting Options dialog box, scroll down to the Access Right Settings section, and click Show the Access Override Control Panel.
  8. In the Element Access Right Selector, click Scrum Board Main (Scrum Board) > Access Override > All.
  9. Under the Full Access column for the Basic User type, select the checkbox, and click OK.
  10. Repeat the previous step for the Element Access Right setting Scrum Board (Scrum Board), and click OK.
    Note: Users may need to refresh their WorkBook application for the changes to take effect.
