Add Entries to Debtor or Creditor Communication Logs

Use the Communication Log tab in the Debtor List or Creditor List submodule to record debtor or creditor communication history, including email messages and phone calls.

To use the Debtor List submodule, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To use the Creditor List submodule, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in the Employee Cross-company Access submodule under Settings.

Tip: You can also update the debtor communication log in the Communication Log tab of the Debtor Information Sidebar.

To add an entry to a debtor or creditor communication log:

  1. On the module toolbar, click Finance & Administration .
  2. If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen to select the company for which you want to add debtor or creditor communication log entries.
  3. Take one of the following actions:
    • In the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen, select Debtors > Debtor List.
    • In the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen, select Creditors > Creditor List.
  4. On the List tab, select the debtor or creditor you want to add a communication log entry for.
  5. On the Communication Log tab , click Add New Row on the grid toolbar.
  6. Double-click a column to edit the column entry.
  7. If the communication has been completed, select the check box in the Done column.
