Add Custom Codes to a Resource Contact
Depending on your role in WorkBook, you can add multiple custom codes to contacts in Resources. You can use custom codes to reference a resource, client, or job to another platform or system that you are using. Some examples of custom codes are Google Adwords and Bing. You can also delete custom codes that you no longer need.
Note: You must have permission to add, delete, and modify resources to complete this task.
To add custom codes to a resource contact:
- On the main toolbar, click Resources .
- On the right side of the grid toolbar, under the filter icon , select Resource Default Grid from the drop-down menu.

Select the resource associated with the contact to which you want to add or delete custom codes from by completing any of the following actions:
- In the Search in Grid field, enter the name of the resource, then select it from the grid.
- Click the Filter field next to the Search in Grid field, select the resource type as your filter, and select the resource from the grid. For example, you can use Clients as the filter and then select the client name from the grid.
- On the grid toolbar, click Resource Information /.
- On the side toolbar of the resource information card, click Contacts .
- Click the initials of the contact to display the contact card or click Toggle Resource Card on the top toolbar of the resource information card.
- On the side toolbar of the contact card, click Custom Codes .
- On the top toolbar of the contact card, click Add Custom Code Reference .
- In the Add New Reference dialog box, enter the reference type and code value, then click OK.
- To delete a contact custom code, select it from the grid and click Remove Custom Code Reference on the top toolbar of the contact card.
