Edit the Posting Date of Journal Entries before Booking

Use the Project Posting submodule to change the posting date of journal entries that were posted within a given period before you book them, except for work-in-progress (WIP) and job closure entries. For example, if you created several creditor invoices within a given period with a posting date of October 1, 2018, and it took three days for those invoices to be processed and attain a status of 50 (Ready for booking), you can use this procedure to change the posting date of the invoices to October 4, 2018.

To perform this procedure, you must have access to Finance & Administration as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To edit the posting date of journal entries before booking:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Finance & Administration .
  2. In the left pane of the Finance & Administration screen, click General Ledger > Project Posting.
  3. If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list above the left pane to select the company that owns the journal entries whose posting dates need to be changed.
