System Variable 617: Allow User to Change Job Status to: 1 or 2 if No Price Quote Exists

Use this System Variable to determine if changing the status of a job to 1 - In Process or 2 - On Hold is possible if there is no price quote created.

You can select one of the following options for this setting:
  • 1 - Price Quote is not required: When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status regardless if there is a price quote or not.
  • 2 - Price Quote must exist - no approval required: When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status if there is a price quote, regardless of the price quote's status. This applies to billable and non-billable jobs.
  • 3 - Price Quote must be approved internally: When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status if there is a price quote and if the price quote's status is 40 - Approved Internally or higher. This applies to billable and non-billable jobs.
  • 4 - Price Quote must be approved externally: When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status if there is a price quote and if the price quote's status is 50 - Approved Externally or higher. This applies to billable and non-billable jobs.
  • 5 - Price Quote must exist - no approval required (only billable jobs): When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status if there is a price quote, regardless of the price quote's status. This applies only to billable jobs.
  • 6 - Price Quote must be approved internally (only billable jobs): When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status if there is a price quote and if the price quote's status is 40 - Approved Internally or higher. This applies only to billable jobs.
  • 7 - Price Quote must be approved externally (only billable jobs): When this option is selected, a user is allowed to change a job's status if there is a price quote and if the price quote's status is 50 - Approved Externally or higher. This applies only to billable jobs.

The default value for this System Variable is 1 - Price Quote is not required.

It may be necessary to perform a refresh when modifying System Variable values.
