System Variable 184: Cost Price Calculation

Use this System Variable to specify how the cost price should be calculated.

You can select one of the following options for this System Variable:

• 1 - Calculate cost price by activity: WorkBook looks up the cost price from the activity setup.

  You can find the activity setup in Settings > Price Lists & Activities > Activities.

• 2 - Calculate cost price by employee: WorkBook looks up the cost price from the employee rate and billable target.

  You can find the employee rate and billable target in Resources > Settings Rates & Billable Targets.

• 4 - Cost price equals sales price: WorkBook looks up the sales price from the price list and sets the cost to be equal to the sales price.

  You can find the sales price in Settings > Price Lists & Activities > Price Lists.

• 5 - Department specific cost prices (fallback to company specific): WorkBook looks up the cost price from the department activity setup.

  You can find the department-specific cost price in Settings > Price Lists & Activities > Activities > Activity Department Settings.

The default value for this System Variable is 1 - Calculate cost price by activity.

It may be necessary to perform a refresh when modifying System Variable values.
