Dashboard Settings Dialog Box

Use this information to set up and customize dashboards in your WorkBook account.

Design Tab

Field Description
Name Enter a name for the dashboard.
Enabled Select the check box to enable the dashboard.
Note: By default, a newly created dashboard is automatically enabled.
Menu Icon (Layout Settings) Select a dashboard icon.
Background Color (Layout Settings) Select a background color.
Design (Layout Settings) Select a design.
  • Free Mode
  • Lines
  • Grid
  • Fixed Grid
Free Mode Options Select an option. The following options are available only when you selected Free Mode in the Design field. The options are as follows:
  • Snap to Grid
  • Allow Widget Overlap
Grid Size Define the widgets' row and column sizes by moving the sliders. This option is available only when you selected Grid in the Design field.

Access Tab

Use the Access tab to define user access to your dashboard.

Options/Field Description
Further Options This menu allows you to add or remove access types for a specific dashboard. The Add option opens the Add Access Rights Dialog Box.
Add by Initials Enter a user's initials and press ENTER.
Note: This action will add your dashboard to the user's dashboard list.
Access Types Sub-tab This sub-tab displays the users with whom you shared the specific dashboard (non-administrators). It contains the following columns:
  • Type: This column displays the groups that have access to the dashboard.
  • Value: This column displays the value that corresponds to the type that you selected.
Effective User Access Sub-tab This sub-tab displays the users who are automatically granted read-write access to the dashboard (administrators). It contains the following columns:
  • Resource
  • Type

Add Access Rights Dialog Box

Field Description
Type Select an access type. The options are as follows:
  • Team
  • Access Role
  • Resource
  • Type
  • Employee
Value Select an option. The available options depend on your selection in the Type field.
