Record Audio Messages for Task Conversations

Use the Tasks submodule record audio messages for task conversations.

To use the Tasks submodule, you must have access to Jobs as defined in the User Access Rights submodule under Settings.

To record audio messages for task conversations:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Jobs .
  2. On the side toolbar of the Jobs screen, click Jobs List and highlight the job associated with the task conversation for which you want to record an audio message.
  3. On the side toolbar of the Jobs screen, click Tasks.
  4. On the Tasks screen, click the Tasks tab.
  5. In the grid, highlight the task conversation for which you want to record an audio message and click Task Settings on the tab toolbar.
  6. On the Task card, click the Task Conversation tab.
  7. Under the Type a comment or drag files here field, click Record an audio message and start recording your message.
    Note: You can use either your computer's default microphone or attach an external one.
    The Record an audio message icon turns red while recording is ongoing.
  8. After recording your audio message, click Record an audio message again and enter a file name for your recording.
  9. Click OK.
    The saved audio recording appears as an attachment.
  10. In the Type a comment or drag files here field, enter your comment and click Publish or Private.
    WorkBook displays the new comment at the bottom of the list of comments.
