Reassign a Record in Approval Center

You can reassign records in Approval Center if the employee approval workflow is enabled.

Appropriate access rights based on the approval workflow configuration is also applied for this process. To reassign approval records, the reassign option needs to be configured in the approval workflow.

To reassign a record to another employee:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to the My Stuff section and select Approval Center.
  2. On the Approval Center form, select a record type, such as Expense Reports, from the Approval Center drop-down menu. All requests are displayed in the grid.
  3. If you selected Expense Lines or Timesheet Lines from the menu, you can filter your approvals for one project at a time. This field displays only for expense line or timesheet line approvals. Click next to Showing All Projects to open the Project Filter dialog box where you can specify the projects to display in the grid.
  4. If you have the appropriate access rights, you can select the Show All Pending and Complete check box to display all rows across companies and employees that are in Approval, In Progress, and Completed states.
  5. Review and then reassign records by performing any of the following:
    • To reassign a single record, click Action Required in the Approval Action column and select Reassign from the drop-down list.

    • To reassign multiple records, select the check boxes of approval records you want to reassign and select Reassign Selected from the Actions drop-down menu.

    • To reassign all records, select Reassign All from the Actions drop-down menu.

Warning: This action reassigns all the records you are assigned, not just the records currently shown in the grid.

The Change Assignment on Current Step dialog box displays.

  6. Enter an employee in the Add New Assignment To or Move Assignment fields and click Change to delegate the selected requests and close the dialog box. If the action cannot be applied to one or more of the records involved, a message displays with an explanation.
