Employees Files & Links Tab (Browser)
Use this tab in the Employees hub in the browser application to attach files and add hyperlinks to external text and graphics files, web sites, email addresses, and so on that are related to an employee.
For example, you can attach an employee's resume on this tab. After you attach or link files, you can easily view them as needed from this tab.
You can also attach files and add hyperlinks in the Employees hub in the Deltek desktop application on the Links tab and the Files tab. Any files that you attach or items that you link on the tabs in either the browser or desktop location are updated automatically on the tabs in the other location.
This tab name changes from Files and Links to the Links tab when FILESTREAM (a Microsoft SQL Server feature) is not in use.

Files Grid
Much of the information for Deltek is entered and displayed in grids on various forms. For information about using grids, see Work with Grids.
Use this grid to upload and attach files that are related to the employee.
The Files grid displays when FILESTREAM is enabled. Use this grid to upload, view, and store files that are related to the current record. Deltek attaches these files to the record for which they were uploaded. This grid supports various file types, such as image files, Microsoft document files, word processing files, drawing files, spreadsheets, and so on. When you upload a file, a copy of the file is stored in the FILESTREAM database. You cannot upload the following file types:
.APPLICATION | .JSE | .REG |
.BAT | .MSI | .SCR |
.CMD | .MSP | .VB |
.COM | .MSC | .VBE |
.CPL | .PIF | .VBS |

Links Grid
Use the Links grid to add URLs, email addresses, and links to files and graphics for a hub record. When you add a file or graphic link to the Links grid, Deltek stores the link so that you can copy and paste it into the file explorer. The file remains on your computer or network.
