Create a New Firm Hierarchy

When you have firms or agencies that should be associated in a hierarchical relationship, you can create a firm hierarchy to represent the parent-subsidiary relationship in graphical form. This is useful for grouping information on reports and gives you a better understanding, for example, of project profitability or opportunity award ratios for the entire hierarchy.

Firm hierarchy is enabled by default, but it can be disabled by your system administrator in Settings > General Settings > Firm Hierarchy.

To create a new firm hierarchy:
  1. In the Navigation pane, go to the Hubs section and select Firms.
  2. Use the search field above the firm name to search for and select the firm that you want to open. If linking many firms, it is recommended to open the top-most firm in the hierarchy.
  3. Click the firm hierarchy icon to the right of the name and choose to create a new hierarchy.
  4. On the Firm Hierarchy dialog box, the name of the parent firm displays at the top level of the hierarchy.
  5. Click + to add a new level. Use the drop-down list to select the new firm in the hierarchy. Continue this process to add firms to the hierarchy.
  6. Use to change the level of the firms in the hierarchy if needed.
  7. Click Save.
