Overhead Allocation Columns
The Overhead Allocation report contains a standard set of columns. You cannot select columns for this report.
Columns
Column | Description |

Run for Period | This column displays the accounting period for which you generated the report. |
Method | This column displays the overhead allocation method:
You set the method on the Overhead Allocation Configuration form ( ). |
Effective Rate | This column displays the effective hourly rate, calculated as follows:
Job-to-date labor amount (at cost or billing rates) / Job-to-date hours |
Basis | This column displays the basis for overhead allocation:
You set the overhead allocation basis on the Overhead Allocation Configuration form. |
Overhead Rate | This column displays the overhead rate for the project. This rate is specified in the Budgeted OH Rate field on the Accounting tab of the Projects hub. |
Allocation Base | This column displays the allocation base for the project. Deltek calculates the allocation base amount from the amounts posted to accounts you included in the allocation base during setup. |
Current Overhead | This column displays the amount of overhead allocated to the project or phase for the current accounting period. |
Year-to-Date Overhead | This column displays the amount of overhead allocated to the project or phase since the year began.
This amount should match the total indirect expenses on your Income Statement. |
Project-to-Date Overhead | This column displays the amount of overhead allocated to the project or phase since the project began. |
Project Number | This column displays the number of the project to which overhead was allocated. |
Project Name | This column displays the name of the project to which overhead was allocated. |
Phase Number | This column displays the number of the phase to which overhead was allocated. |
Phase Name | This column displays the name of the phase to which overhead was allocated. |
Variance Project/Phase | This column displays the project or the phase that receives any difference between the computed amount and the actual amount of overhead distributed.
This project or phase usually only receives an amount if you use the Assignment method. However, it may also receive small rounding variances if you use the Proration method. |
Project Totals | This column displays the total overhead allocated to the project. |
Overall Totals | This column displays the total overhead allocated to all projects. |
