Printer Name

Deltek displays information about that printer in the
Model,
Location, and
Description fields.
To print on a printer that is not set up in
Deltek, select
<local printer>. When you click
Print,
Deltek generates and displays the report in portable document format (PDF). Use the print options in Adobe Acrobat to print the report using one of the printers you have defined in Microsoft Windows.
If you select
<local printer>, you can specify the pages to print, and you can select
Save reports to the application server when printing to store a file copy of the report, but the other options in the Print dialog box in

Print Using Previous Version's Method (May be Slower)
|
This check box displays on a
Deltek print dialog box only if you press the CTRL key at the same time that you click a print option, such as
Print, to open the Print dialog box. Select this check box if you want to print something using a previous version of
Deltek's printing technology.
You can use the older printing technology (from
Deltek 6.1) only when you do either of the following:
- Print directly to a network printer that has been set up within
Deltek.
- Schedule a report to print.
In these scenarios, the
Deltek Print dialog box displays. Access to
Deltek network printers is controlled by
Deltek role security.
You
cannot print with the older printing technology if you print from Preview window. (In this scenario, the standard Windows Print dialog box displays when you print.)
In the following scenarios, you have no control over the
Print Using Previous Version's Method (May be Slower) check box. It is selected automatically, regardless of whether or not you see the check box on the Print dialog box:
- On the print dialog box, you select more than one copy to print in the
Number of Copies field and you clear the
Collate check box.
- On the Print dialog box, you select the
Set Scale check box and you change the percentage to something other than 100%.
