Do a Timesheet Floor Check

If you are responsible for making sure that employee time entry is completed on time, you can do a floor check to review the status of time entry for your employees for a timesheet period or for a specific day.

Your access to this feature requires you have Group, Company, or System access to the Timesheet application.

To do a timesheet floor check:

  1. In the Navigation pane, go to the My Stuff section and select Timesheet.
  2. Select the timesheet to display.
  3. Click Actions > Floor Check.
  4. If you have multiple companies, select the company for which you want to perform a floor check from the Company drop-down list in the Floor Check dialog box. If your firm does not use multiple companies, this field does not display.
  5. Select the start and end dates from the Time Period drop-down list.
  6. In Time Frame, indicate if you want to do a floor check for the entire timesheet period or only for a specific day in the period.
  7. If you select By Timesheet Day in Time Frame, select the date in the Day field.
  8. Check the Only show Employees with other than expected hours check box if you want to limit the list to only those employees who have more or less than the expected hours for the timesheet period or day (based on Hours/Day in the Employees Hub in the desktop application).
  9. Review the list of timesheets. As part of your review, you can:
    • Click or next to each column heading in the grid to sort the results.
    • Click to filter the results in one or more columns.
    • Click the Hours Entered link to view the associated timesheet.

A next to the value indicates more than the expected hours are entered for the associated employee. If Hours Entered does not match Expected Hours, the Expected Hours value displays in red font.

    • Check one or more rows and select Actions > Open Selected in Timesheet to view multiple timesheets.
    • Check one or more rows and select Actions > Send Notification to Selected to send a message to the selected employees' Notification Center.
  10. Click Close to close the Floor Check dialog box.
