Rate Table Method

The Rate Table labor billing method calculates labor billings using employee-specific billing rates for a single project or class of projects. The rate in the rate table or override table is typically the full billing rate. However, you can apply up to three multipliers to the rate.

A labor rate table or labor override table is required with this method.

Calculation

The billing extension is calculated as:

Extension = Hours * Rate * Multiplier(s)

Determination of Rate

Deltek uses the employee billing rate specified in the project's rate table.

If you specify an override table to be used with the project, and the employee is in the table, Deltek uses the employee’s rate in the override table. Deltek also applies any non-zero multipliers to this rate, no matter what the override rate type (Billing, Cost, or Max Cost Rate).

If you do not specify an override table for the project or if the employee is not in the project’s override table, Deltek uses the employee rate in the project’s rate table. Deltek then applies all non-zero multipliers to this rate.

If neither an override table rate nor a rate table rate exists for an employee, Deltek uses a rate of zero for that employee.
