Delete an Expense Type or Consultant Type Assignment from a Project Plan
If you assign an expense type or consultant type to a project and later want to remove that assignment, you can do that on the Expenses tab or Consultants tab of the Projects form.
If the assignment has a job-to-date (JTD) amount or has been saved as part of the baseline plan, you cannot delete the assignment. In those cases, however, you can still use the procedure below to delete the current planned amount for the assignment.
To delete an expense type or consultant type assignment from a project plan:
- In the Navigation pane, go to the Hubs section and click Projects.
- Select the project for which you want to delete an assignment.
- Switch the Project/Plan toggle to Plan.
- On the Actions menu, click Check Out.
- Click the Expenses tab or Consultants tab.
- Expand the work breakdown structure (WBS) until the assignment row is visible.
- Hover over that WBS row and click at the end of the row.
- Click Delete.
- When the confirmation message displays, click Delete again.
