Fields and Options

Use the Opportunity Plan Structure form to set up a work breakdown structure (WBS) for opportunities for which you want to do resource planning. If the CRM application is not activated, you also use the + Add Opportunity option to add opportunity records.

    Before you can assign resources to an opportunity, you need to set up a plan structure for the opportunity on the Opportunity Plan Structure form. An opportunity plan structure is a hierarchy consisting of levels and level elements that is similar to the work breakdown structure (WBS) for projects.
  • Opportunity Plan Structure Actions Menu
    Use the Actions menu on the Opportunity Plan Structure form to set up the plan structure, make changes to the structure, and view the opportunity plan in Project View.
  • Add/Edit Opportunity Form (in Resource Management)
    If the CRM application is not activated, use the Add Opportunity form in Resource Management to add a new opportunity. Use the Edit Opportunity form to make changes or additions to information for existing opportunities. The two forms contain the same sets of fields.
