Projects Hub
Use the Projects hub to enter and maintain information for the projects that your company or enterprise undertakes.
The project records that you can access are dependent upon your security role's assigned access rights.
You access the Projects hub in both the browser and desktop applications. The hub is located in the Hubs section of the Navigation pane in both applications. Some tabs in the Projects hub are accessible in one or the other application, but not both. Some tabs are accessible from both the browser and desktop applications. When you update the information in one application, it is automatically updated in the other application.
In the browser application, this hub has two modes: Project mode and Plan mode. In Project mode, you enter project management and accounting information for the project. In Plan mode, you assign employees and generic resources to the project and enter planned hours for them, and you can also enter planned expense and consultant amounts.
The following table lists the tabs available in the two applications. If roughly equivalent tabs exist in both applications, they appear on the same row of the table. Note that if tabs in the two applications are listed as equivalent, they still may not provide exactly the same sets of fields and exactly the same functionality. If a tab only exists in one of the applications, "No equivalent tab" appears on that row for the other application.
