Transfer 1099 Information to Electronic Filing

The 1099 Electronic Filing feature conforms with Federal government guidelines for electronic filing reporting, and with state government guidelines that follow the Federal guidelines. (Combined Federal/State Filer and reporting for or by foreign entities are not supported.)

Prerequisites: Deltek does not verify the data in the 1099 information file. You must examine all 1099 data in the file, and correct it as necessary for individual vendors with the Form 1099 Editor, before you start this procedure.

To transfer 1099 information to electronic filing:

  1. On the Navigation menu, click Accounting > Accounts Payable > Form 1099 Processing.
  2. Process 1099 forms.
  3. On the toolbar of the Form 1099 Processing form, click Electronic Filing > 1099.
  4. Complete the fields on the Form 1099 Electronic Filing dialog box.
  5. Click Create File to create the electronic reporting file. Deltek prompts you to open the file from its current location or save the file to disk.
  6. In the File name field, specify the file name and then save your work.
